This strawberry margarita recipe features real fruit, fresh lime juice, and quality tequila—perfect for frozen or on-the-rocks versions with easy customizations.
Ingredients
1½ cups frozen or fresh strawberries
2 oz tequila (Blanco or Reposado)
1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau, triple sec, or Grand Marnier)
¾ oz freshly squeezed lime juice
½ oz agave nectar, honey, or simple syrup (optional)
Ice (as needed)
Lime wedge and sugar/salt for rimming (optional)
Instructions
1. Add strawberries, tequila, liqueur, lime juice, and sweetener to a blender or shaker.
2. For frozen: blend until smooth and slushy. For on-the-rocks: muddle strawberries and shake with ice.
3. Rim your glass with lime and dip into salt or sugar.
4. Pour into prepared glass and garnish with lime, strawberry, or basil.
5. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
Use frozen strawberries for thicker texture.
For a mocktail, replace tequila with soda water and liqueur with orange juice.
