Description
Traditional Costa Rican tea made with pineapple, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and lemon verbena. Supports weight loss and digestion naturally.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
½ tablespoon fresh turmeric
1 cinnamon stick
¼ cup pineapple core chunks
1 cup filtered water
1 lemon-verbena tea bag
Optional: 1 teaspoon raw apple-cider vinegar, 1 lemon slice, Honey
Instructions
- Add ginger, turmeric, cinnamon stick, mint, pineapple core, and filtered water to a small saucepan.
- Set over medium-low heat and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it bubble softly for five minutes.
- Remove from heat. Add the lemon-verbena tea bag, cover, and steep for ten minutes.
- Strain the tea carefully into a mug.
- Stir in raw apple cider vinegar if desired. Add honey to taste.
- Garnish with a lemon slice.
- Sip warm within 30 minutes of waking to support metabolism.
